USED MOVEMENTS

Identifying the movement:
First thing to do is to get all the information off of the back plate of the clock movement itself and write it down. Be sure to remove the weights and pendulum if the case is to be moved to get to the movement. Do not make the mistake of looking for the model number of the clock, this number is on the paperwork that comes with the clock and is not what is needed to replace the movement. As stated above, the numbers needed are on the back plate of the movement itself.

HERMLE LOGO

Is your movement made by Hermle?:
Hermle makes movements for various cabinet makers and marks there name onto the movement, so you may have a Hermle movement even it has a different name on it. Some other names made by Hermle are Seth Thomas (the newer Seth), Tally Industries, Howard Miller, and others.

HOW TO ORDER HERMLE:

Hermle uses a 6 or 7 digit number code to designate whether it is spring, chain, or cable driven, the plate size, hammer arrangement, and the hand shaft length.

The above example shows the movement number being 1161-853. Hermle made this movement for Howard Miller and its pendulum length is 94cm from the suspension post of the movement down to the very bottom of the rating nut. To get a replacement movement for this clock, the first set of numbers would be matched up with the below chart.

NEEDS CLEANING ONLY MOVEMENTS
These particular movements are used and are usually non-working. All they need is a cleaning, they were each inspected by a clockmaker and determined there is no bushings required for them to run. These are priced at 75% off the price of new movements and are guaranteed against needing bushings. Each of these movements come with a complimentary clock repair E-book that explains the cleaning process. NEEDS BUSHINGS MOVEMENTS
These particular movements are used and are non-working. They need a cleaning and bushings to run again. These are priced at 90% off the price of new movements. To order one of these movements we ask that you call us at 1-888-200-7445 so we can give you an up to date stock status.

Movements are listed as they come, there are no guarantee that a certain movement will be listed at any given time. Items that are sold are removed from the list as quick as possible to keep an up to date list.

The difference between movements with different CM lengths are the 3rd 4th and 5th wheels of the time train. This means if your movement is hypothetically a 451-050 94cm and there is only a 451-050 85cm on the list, then all parts will be the same except for the said wheels.
