Ships Bell Alternatives

The Schatz Royal Mariner movement that is no longer in production and is not available. This is why we offer Ships Bell Alternatives. Hermle has a unit that is very similar. Their movement is an 8 day clock. Meaning on a single wind it will last for 8 days. It has one hammer on the back that strikes a bell that plays the ships bell sequence. The 132-071 has many new improvements such as a Swiss platform escapement. The quality of this escapement is much better than the past and easier to time. We offer the movement along with the dial and hands because the winding arbors are not in the same place as before. Also the old hands will not work for this conversion.

At one point, there was a quartz movement that had the ships bell sequence. However this is no longer made. Thus making the Hermle mechanical movement the only Ships Bell Alternative.
