we have a 341-023 ridgeway wall that has never ran. how do i wind it, it seems to have been overwound (if I had to guess).
These clocks are meant to be wound ALL the way up until it will not wind any longer. There are other issues, these are 25 year movements at best.

can i buy a balance for a movement # 3540 47E
What are the numbers off of the back plate of the clock movement itself? If it is hard to get to, usually you can stick a cell phone up behind the movement and get a picture of the numbers. Or through the side access panel if there is one.

I was wondering if the 340-020 back plate comes complete with all the pins. I purchased 2 from a different vendor and they are missing the strike mounting pin and the strike stop pin. The hole for the tapered stop pin is also larger than the original so I can’t use the pin from another unit.

Best to just get the new movement complete. The cost is low, if repairs are attempted it usually ends up in frustration and alot of waisted time.
The new one is improved with bronze bushings and an improved balance wheel. These are 20 year movements, 25 years at best.

I have a 612437 howard miller clock with a 340020 I was following the directions for cleaning and fixing it but after I took it all apart it diddnt show the layout of how to put the gears back in.Can you help me?
