More information Regarding N batteries
N Size Clock Batteries are sometimes hard to find. We offer these N Batteries as a Quartz Accessory since some of the inserts that we carry use them. Not many inserts use this type so we offer them to save you time and frustration of locating one.
An N battery is almost like a camera battery. However, they are not the same size. They look incredibly similar but are most definitely different. These are shorter than a AAA, but they are about the same thickness as the AA battery.
People will often purchase ones that are similar, such as the camera battery. But quickly realize it is a slightly different size. By purchasing this you will save a lot of time and aggravation. There is nothing worse than starting a project and having to leave it sitting there because you don't have all the parts you need.
Running from one store to the next trying to get the correct fit is not fun. Often, stores do not even know what an N battery is. That makes the whole experience even more frustrating. So when you order the insert, remember to also add this N battery.

I found a “Mother &baby bear” surrounded by old bark, trees wtc. Figurine, yet inserted is a small clock on the middle.
Things is,the little clock pops in &out,it’s states it’s a China made Quarts clock, the battery size is I assume a UM-5.
Does anyone out there know of this battery type? IT only uses 1 battery.
Thanks for any advise!!! Sincerely,Teresa

I have a Wedgwood jasperware mantle clock that has a “Hechinger W Germany” quartz clock that says “Wedgwood” and “Made in England” on its face. It’s missing the battery, and I’m trying to figure out which battery it needs. Do you know if it would take an N battery? I can email you a picture of the battery compartment if that would help.
Thanks for any assistance you can provide!
