Quartz movement holder for mounting a wall clock. If you put a standard 2 1/8 square AA quartz movement inside, you can provide stability to the clock dial and put the clock on the wall with the built in hanger. It will provide a wider base support against the wall and will not wobble around with long hands when a high torque unit is used.
Put the quartz movement into the square hole, put the dial on the front side over the movements post, put the hex nut on the movement over the dial. Now you have the dial mounted to the movement with the cup attached to the back of the dial and can hang it on the wall.
This can be screwed in also if using a chunk of log for the dial. This holder gets screwed into the back of the wood dial and then the movement goes into the holder.
