Description
Clock Mainspring Clamps
Set of 4 mainspring Clock Tools clamps to keep a mainspring in the wound position and keep them under control. Best to get two of these sets in order to have a pair with the correct size for the mainsprings. Often the clock will have two mainsprings of the same size, therefore two sets will give a matching set of each size.
These are most useful with the clock mainspring let down tool. Let down and wind the spring up or down to fit this over the spring within the movement. This way the mainspring will have a clamp so that it is in the coil position for safety and the movement can be taken apart without a mess or danger.
