I recently purchased your GFKit1 and am in the process of setting it up on a temporary stand to verify measurements for the clock case I will build. I have two issues with the clock hands that came with the kit.
The first issue is with the second hand. The sleeve is too short to slip over the steel pin on the movement. The length of the sleeve is 1 1/4″ but is about 1/4″ too short to fit sufficiently over the steel pin on the movement.
Secondly, the brass bushing that fits over the minute hand shaft is supposed to rotate so I can synchronize the minute hand to the 1/4 hour chimes. I cannot rotate the bushing. It will not move.
Can you please advise how to fix these issues or if I have the correct clock hands
The end of the second hand post is split, can be closed tighter some with needle nose. The minute hand mounting bushing with the square hole in it, that bushing will move, force it break it make it turn. If you kill it ill send out another no problem. Please let me know if this helps or I should test / ship replacement second and minutes please
