Our Clock Movement Parts Catalog is only available online at Clockworks. The clock industry is changing so much and so quickly that it is no longer practical to print a catalog. The inventory violently fluctuates in what is produced and what is no longer available. What is readily available this week, may not be available the next week, or longer. With the internet in such full swing, a paper catalog is no longer an option that makes sense. Clockworks is going green, saving the trees and the planet by just keeping the website up to date.

Hello sir, I have a Ridgeway George Washington 250 Birthday Anniversary Grandfather clock that I purchased in early 1987 from Macys in Florida. It has nine tubular chimes with three weights, but it has the options for chimes as: Silent, 4/4 Silent, Westm., Whitt., and St. Mich. on the face plate next to the selector lever. My clock doesn’t have any Urgos logo, but it reads “UW03042B.” Is the conversion # 03108 correct. Would this now only have three chime choices? I would like to keep the clock original. My stepson had an unauthorized party and the clock was damaged by a disgruntled invitee. He hit the clock’s movement, chimes, and glass with a paper weight. This malicious mischief to the clock was caught on surveillance cameras and we are deeply disturbed by my stepson’s once life long friend. I would appreciate any help you may offer as there isn’t too many resources for clock repair in Northeast Tennessee. The clock is beautiful, and has sentimental value for being the first “grown up purchase” I made after passing the bar. It is the same movement, just a new number / name. The 03108 is the newer production run of the old 03042. It puts your old movement over 40 years old, it is time for the new one. These typically last 30-40 years, yours is due. Please order the 03108 from this link

Hello. Have a regulator clock that was made from a kit. It has a JAUCH PL-48 movement. The mainspring just let go. I noticed combing thru your site that you offer service to replace the mainspring. Is this one eligible for this service? This clock kept phenomenal time. It would start to loose it around day 6. This particular day, I had only 3 turns of the key and “BANG” it let go. What kind of spring is it? Is further information available for this movement? Only one day without the clock and I miss having this “friend” in the house.
If you are able to send the barrel with spring in it only to us, it will qualify for the service. However that one does not come out with out separating the plates. Best to consider us working on the movement entirely.

I bought a Kundo Anniversary clock from Goodwill. Initial examination makes me think it needs a new suspension spring (twisted & broken). It is also missing the block connecting the spring to the pendulum. The movement back has a trademark engraving (circle with K & O and KIENINGER & OBERGFELL, MADE IN WEST GERMANY below trademark). There is no movement # or any other info on back plate. I want to start out with replacing the suspension spring and block. Please advise if replacement parts are available.

I have a 1830 Wall hung clock with highly carved beautiful case. The dial is glass and unfortunately the cover slammed while cleaning and broke the dial. I have patched it together but prefer to replace the dial. The dial is 8 1/2 in. diameter.I am contemplating paper or metal (with Roman numerals) as I don’t have a way to drill the necessary three holes….center and two for winding. Your thoughts please!!!!

I have bought a Hermle 130-070 from you guys, to use as the starting point for an experimental clock. I would love to have a list of tooth numbers in the strike and time trains if you have it.
Also, I am hoping to replace the two lobed half hour strike cam for a four lobed one that will fit. Does that exist?
And lastly, does Hermle make a fusee barrel that might fit in place of one of the regular ones in this movement? Doubtful, but hopeful…

I have a new Hermle movement, 1171-850—-114cm/60
bought from you about 30 years ago. Never built the case, now about to do so. But the box with the pendulum has gone astray, want to order a new Hermle 114cm lyre pendulum. the question is how much width to I need to plan on having inside the case for pendulum swing?Thinking about the 10.5″ bob, but want to be sure I make the case an appropriate width to not crowd the pendulum swing. Please order either a wood stick pendulum, or a metal lyre pendulum for a Hermle 114cm movement,from the links below. The bob diameter is to be 4inches less than the interior width of the clock case, or less. This way it has some room to swing.

I have the Kieninger 5 tubular bell (there is no identification other than the logo and a number 77 stamped below) in a Mason and Sullivan GF case that I put together about 45-46 years ago; the chiming system no longer works reliably … after cleaning and oiling the mechanism, I hung the weight for the chiming system and it worked, BUT, when the other weights were applied, it no longer tripped/chimed. The clock keeps perfect time but had to have new bearings replaced in 2006.
I see where this clockwork is no longer available; the case is no great beauty. I wonder what I should do … repair or restore (and, if the latter, what would you recommend?).

No longer made. We can restore that one the correct way approximately $2000, or offer a new clock kit everything for the insides $1500 – $4000 depending, or replace with an Urgos conversion approximately $2000.

I have a Hermle 2215 electronic movement and it is only gonging the 4 -16 Westminster chimes each quarter, but not the individual chimes for each hour .I is approx 30 years of age and worn out.I need a replacement including the 3 serpentine hands in black and no pendulum as it is set up on the door separately.I would require a 7/16 post. I need the 3 different chime options.

Hermle quartz units may die in 7 years or 15 years but when they do die it is usually at daylight savings. Something to do with turning the clocks back or forward then it decides to end its own life. The only solution is to replace the unit with a new one. If you would like the same unit please order your Hermle quartz unit from this link

You would need to take the old movement out and then measure the shaft that the hands go on. Everything that sticks out in one measurement.
Now don’t get me wrong, these are good quality movements and they’re made in Germany. They last the average time for a Quartz movement and they sound good, but when they do decide to die it’s usually when the time is messed with.
To remove the movement you would hold the minute hand still while turning the center hand nut to the left with needle nose pliers. Then the minute hand will just fall off. Then you twist and pull the hour hand towards you and it will come off as it is a friction fit only. You will then see a nut that is holding the movement to the dial. I really do not know why they have designed it this way but it is slotted on both sides. The thing to do is to get a big flat screwdriver on one side and see if you can turn this nut to the left. If the nut is on there very very tight then we have a special tool you can get for this and it does not cost much. If the nut is on too tight you just risk slipping with the flat screwdriver and scratching the dial face. Anyway with that nut turned to the left and off, the movement will just fall out the back of the case. Then you can measure that shaft that the hands go on and get a new unit.
The 2114 or 2214 plays Westminster or Bim Bam options
The 2115 or 2215 plays Westminster or Ave Maria options
The 2116 of 2216 plays Westminster or Silent Night (However these units have a high defect ratio in this series)
2114 / 2115 / 2116 are NON pendulum. 2214 / 2215 / 2216 are pendulum units.
Any of the above units are compatible with each other. If you have a 2116 now and it’s giving issues you can replace with 2115 or 2114.

The heaviest weight would go on your right as you face the clock.
The lightest weight will go on your left as you face the clock.
The middle is light or heavy depending on the bob diameter.

I never purchased the spring driven movement, as I wanted to purchase the weight driven Westminister chime movement. Well, I just turned 71, so I better plan on building it soon. My brother-law took all the parts and glass out of him grandfather clock to refinish the case.
The case is finished, and all the parts are back in except the glass. We have all the glass for the door and side panels. We just need the clips to hold the glass in place.

Typically the pillar and scroll clocks would have a square dial, spade hands, wood stick pendulum, older units would be a time strike 8 day wind up with gong strike. Is this what you would like?

I have a 1970’s vintage German cuckoo clock. The bird will not go back inside and the door is in open position. I believe that it needs to be oiled. Back usually has a tab to slide out of the way, and then the top part can be pried open with a flat screw driver, bottom has a ridge that fits into a hole so go from the top instead.

I have a mid-century clock that came with a glass case and the label Style King on the front. The movement itself is made in Germany by the Cuckoo Clock Mfg. Co. Inc. It utilizes barrel springs for time, strike and chime. There are no numbers on the springs and I need to replace one of them. As a guy that’s kind of new to the clock repair business, I’m not sure how to go about buying a new one if I don’t have some kind of number to go by. Joe

The 2215 pendulum units, and the 2115 non pendulum units are now obsolete and no longer made. Same with 2214 and 2114. There was some problematic issues with these units and they are now discontinued.
We do have a couple alternate units however.
1. QU30 pendulum or non pendulum unit. This one still plays two songs, has volume control, its made by Seiko instead of Hermle, and it can have a pendulum also.
2. QU40 pendulum or non pendulum unit. This one has four chime options and the sound quality is most equivalent to the Hermle units. It has the Westminster and Ava Maria options just like the 2215 / 2115 units.

However the hand shaft (The shaft that the clock hands go onto) is measured differently than the Hermle units. Instead of a long nut that mounts the movement from the front dial side, these instead have a threaded post that will go through the dial from the back to the front of the dial.
You only need to determine the thickness of your clocks dial face material, and get a post length that is longer than that thickness.
Here is a chart to help you.
If you measure the Hermle quartz units hand shaft length in MM, these are the compatible post lengths that will fit your clock case and dial.
Hermle Hand Shaft Length // Replacement units post size needed
16mm = 5/16 inch post length
21mm = 9/16 inch post length
26mm = 3/4 inch post length
Another thing to mention is you need new hands also with your new clock movement. This is because the Hermle hands do not fit easy on these units. If you insist on using the Hermle hands, sometimes people are able to make them work by filing them some. The hands will be offered to you upon checking out on the website with the new unit.
One more thing to mention. The Hermle units are shaped in a unique way and the replacement units I am offering to you are not the same dimensional. Please be sure to notice the measurements of these units and check your clock case to be sure it will fit into it before ordering.
